Hail Catastrophe Response: Deployable PDR Crews
When a hail storm creates more damage than a region can absorb, we fly a catastrophe crew to it. We set up in your dealership lot, body shop or a temporary facility, coordinate directly with insurers and adjusters, and return hundreds of vehicles to original-paint condition in days rather than months.
A catastrophe hail event is not a bigger version of a normal week. Within seventy-two hours every local shop is booked into next season, adjusters are triaging thousands of files, and a dealership with three hundred hailed units on the lot has an inventory problem, not a repair problem.
Our crews exist for exactly that moment. We have worked storms in Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon and across southern Ontario, operating out of partner body shops, dealership lots and temporary facilities we stand up ourselves.
Between our Burlington and Hamilton shops we have repaired more than 100,000 vehicles with over 75 combined years on the tools. That bench is what gets loaded onto a plane when a city gets hit.
Who we deploy for
- Dealerships with hailed new and used inventory sitting unsellable
- Fleet and rental operators facing simultaneous downtime across a whole fleet
- Body shops and collision centres that need overflow PDR capacity
- Insurers and independent adjusters managing a catastrophe file
- Municipalities, utilities and institutions with vehicle pools
How a deployment works
It starts with scope. We need location, approximate vehicle count, damage severity and whether there is covered working space on site. From that we size the crew and give you a realistic start date and throughput — not an optimistic one.
We travel with our own tooling, lighting and glue-pull systems, and we can work from an indoor bay, a tented setup or a leased temporary facility. Where the volume justifies it we bring a full crew and run consecutive shifts.
Documentation runs alongside the work: per-unit damage counts, photographic records and estimates written in the format your insurer or accounting department needs, so units clear as they are completed rather than in one lump at the end.
Insurance and billing on a catastrophe file
We bill insurers directly and work with every major Canadian carrier, including supplement filing when the first estimate undercounts the damage — which on hail it usually does, because dents hide until the panel is under proper light.
For dealer inventory we can consolidate to a single purchase order per batch, and for mixed files we split insurer-paid and direct-pay units cleanly so nothing stalls waiting on an approval.
Why PDR is the right catastrophe repair
Repainting hail damage costs the vehicle its factory finish, adds a refinish record and takes weeks per unit. Paintless dent repair keeps the original paint, which protects wholesale value on a dealer lot and resale value for an owner, and it moves at a speed a refinish line cannot match at volume.
For an inventory event that difference is measured in floor-plan days. For an insurer it is measured in rental days. Both point the same direction.

What customers say
"When my vehicle was recently damaged by a severe hailstorm, it ended up with a significant number of dents across the body. After contacting my insurance company, I was initially referred to a general body shop. However, since this was strictly dent-related damage, I wanted to find a shop that truly specializes in paintless dent repair. That's when I came across Precision Dent Burlington."
"I had my brand new car destroyed by hail damage back in August. The car was covered in dents in pretty much all areas — roof, hood, rails, doors, trunk, quarter panel, fenders. I researched a few places and even went to another highly reviewed shop to get an estimate. The other shop started mentioning paint and parts."
"Andreas and his team were great! Very quick and transparent! Andreas was especially helpful in dealing with my difficult insurance in the process of getting the repair approved. Despite heavy hail damage, the car looks brand new now!"
"Great experience dealing with these guys. Very friendly and accommodative and their work is very impressive. Had them repair two BMW's with hail damage and they both looked new when they were done."
"I had several dents in my Yukon Denali after a major hail storm. Thanks to the efficient service of Precision Dent Repair, my vehicle looks as good as new again. I would highly recommend this company!"
"Great experience from start to finish, they accommodated my schedule and took care of everything through insurance. Easy process and repaired a ton of damage from a hail storm. Highly recommend."

Common questions
How fast can you deploy after a storm?
For an active event we typically scope within twenty-four hours and can have a crew on the ground within days, depending on facility availability and how many events are running at once.
How far do you travel?
Canada-wide. Our crews have worked Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario storms, and we deploy wherever the volume justifies it.
Do we need to provide a facility?
It helps, and it speeds everything up. If there is no indoor space we can work from covered or tented setups, or source a temporary facility as part of the deployment.
How many vehicles can a crew complete per day?
Hail-damaged vehicles average one to three per technician per day depending on dent count and panel access, so throughput scales with crew size. We size the crew to your deadline.
Do you handle the insurance side?
Yes. We bill carriers directly, write estimates in their format and file supplements when the initial count is short.
Who do we talk to?
Andreas in Burlington and Dan in Hamilton run the deployment desk between them. The request form on this page goes to both of them directly.
